International Match Day: WITSA World Cup Practice Pitch Series
This year, International Match Day will not just be a networking event, but a warm-up and preparation platform so that the presentations have the level of excellence required by the WITSA World Cup.
By participating in International Match Day, in addition to making connections with entrepreneurs from around the world, you will also receive valuable feedback and guidance from a panel made up of expert mentors and potential investors.
It will be a day full of powerful and indispensable insights for all entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses to international markets and win the chance to represent the country at the WITSA World Cup.
How does it work?
To apply and participate in International Match Day you must look for the association that represents your country at WITSA. Check the list below to 16 participating countries and their associate organizations.
Each participating company must present a up to 5 minutes pitch and will receive a up to 7 minutes feedback from a panel make of international business experts and / or investors.
Each International Match Day date will match a group of countries, based on their time-zone (more information below).
All International Match Day meetings will be recorded and made available on the Assespro-RJ YouTube channel.
Important: International Match Day participation does not grant a place at the WITSA World Cup.

ABOUT WITSA WORLD CUP 2024
The WITSA World Cup (WWC) is a renowned global championship that highlights innovative companies that are interested in growing and conquering new markets.
WWC is a platform that offers opportunities for exposure, investment and access to international markets.
This year, 16 countries will compete at WWC: South Africa, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Egypt, United States, Greece, Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Moldova, Nepal, Romania and Taiwan. Each country will be able to nominate 2 companies to compete, totaling 32 solutions.
The launch of the WITSA World Cup and the draw of the keys took place during the AI Summit in Rio 2024, in March. The Grand Final will take place in October, during WCIT 2024, in Armenia.
Eligibility Criteria to participate in the WITSA World Cup
The competition is open to Tech Scaleups across all industries, including AI, fintech, healthtech, edtech, agtech, and smart city solutions, etc.
A Tech Scaleup is considered a dynamic and rapidly growing technology-driven company that has already achieved product-market fit and is poised for significant expansion. Characteristics of a tech scaleup may include a viable business model, scalable growth strategy and demonstrable innovation.
Eligible participants should be at the pre-Series A venture funding stage and above. This includes companies that have not yet secured Series A funding but have successfully attracted seed funding, angel investments, or other pre-Series A funding sources. Additionally, companies that have received Series A funding or higher are eligible to participate in the WITSA World Cup.
Tech scaleups should demonstrate significant customer traction and exhibit auditable annual revenue of at least USD 100,000. This can include revenue generated from product or service sales to customers, partnerships, or other revenue streams. The auditable annual revenue serves as an indicator of the company's traction and product-market fit.
The Tech Scale up should be registered in the country they are applying to compete in.

The Grand Prize will be given to one (1) winning tech Scaleup:

■ National Host Association holds the WWC for the year, passing it to the next year’s winning country

banking, financial/accounting, growth acceleration and legal services
